I'm usually not a fan of porridge because some porridge are absolutely disgusting. Like those kind of EXTREMELY watery types. It is like eating rice with fucking water.
However, all these changed when I was in Sarawak many years ago where I just randomly ordered pork porridge because nothing else nice was available. I was skeptical at first because at that time I hated porridge even more. I would say that bowl of porridge changed my life.
It was thick with sooooo many chunks of juicy pork inside. And the whole thing was so flavourful. My opinion of this "bland" dish was completely changed.
Anyway, the pork porridge at Tiong Shian was alright. And the frog legs would be better if it was saltier. But it is really quite pricey for the portion...
